3.) How did Jason get started in music?
Well, to make a long story short, I started singing and gravitating toward music
as early as 7 years old. I don't have a recording contract at this time. A hero in
the faith of mine, Steve Green, once took some time to talk to me and told me just
to do what was right and do God's Will and let things follow that line instead of
pushing for things God may not want. Steve encouraged me to get involved in my church
and just see where God took me. Well at this point God has allowed me to serve for
a year and half in an awesome inner-city ministry, New Life Baptist Church. I got
experience leading the music there, being choir director, and singing specials and
with others not for my glory but for God's. The Lord opened a door after many request
for a CD of my music, to allow me to record this Demo CD, Demonstration, of songs
I had sung live at church. I don't know what tomorrow holds nor what the Lord has
planned from here. I'm just taking it one day at a time. Some days I fail, and others
I'm strong. My goal each day is not music, not love, not life, but to seek the living
GOD before all things and expect Him to do the rest! Oh yeah and work really hard
(smile). thanks for listening!
4.) What singers have inspired Jason the most?
Well there are a lot needless to say but I'd say the two key recording artist that
have really made a huge impact in and on my life are Steve Green and Reba McEntire.
The first time I really ever heard music in a solo format was REBA, several years
later a missionary in Mexico told my parents about Steve Green and I've been listening
to him music and to his life ever since. He is my hero of the faith. His life and
that of his families is a great example to countless people. Thanks to all the artist
and their lives...their walk with God, I'm in your footprints.
5.) Where was this CD recorded?
Jason Denison recorded most of the CD in Memphis, TN with some production done in Nashville, TN and St. Louis, MO.
